I decided to take a chance and try two of the newer Wet n Wild Color Icon blushes. The last time I owned any Wet n Wild blushes they still came in the silver gray compacts so it’s definitely been awhile. But I’ve been hearing a lot of raves about the new Rosé Champagne shade so when CVS ran a promo on Wet n Wild last week I decided it was time to get some.
The blushes were $3.19 each at CVS.
Both colors are gorgeous. I just wish they didn’t have quite so much shine. I used to be crazy about high shine, really glowy products but I’m so over that now. These days I’m all about satin finish blushes and subtle, understated, natural skin finish type glow. In fact, I’ve purged every single highlighter in my collection. I haven’t been using any highlighters since the summer and I don’t miss them one bit.
While both colors suit me to a T — I love pinkish nude blushes and peachy orange shades — the finish just isn’t what I’m after these days. If you’re into highlighting blushes these should be right up your alley but personally they have way too much sheen for my tastes.
