Clinique Curviest Caramel & My Favorite MLBB Lipsticks

Clinique’s Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Curviest Caramel may be my holy grail, all time favorite lip product ever. In my opinion, it’s practically perfect in every way!

I purchased mine from Sephora.com.

Not to be confused with the regular Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms that are sheerer, the Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms pack a more pigmented punch. I own several that I plan on swatching soon in a separate blog entry but Curviest Caramel is definitely my favorite.

If you’re a fan of MLBB (my lips but better) lipstick colors then you must check out Curviest Caramel. It’s such a naturally pretty, pinky nude with a slightly glossy creme finish. The formula feels a little moisturizing on the lips but not greasy or too slick or thin. These last a decent amount of time on me and I only need to touch up halfway through the workday. The twist-up stick format gets a thumbs up because it’s so convenient and easy to carry around and use. But the reason I love the Clinique Chubby Sticks above all other chubby lip pencils that I’ve tried is because it’s completely unscented and unflavored. Yay! No fruity, minty or vanilla smell or taste with these. Hallelujah!

I swatched Curviest Caramel alongside my favorite lipsticks and I’m sure you’ll be able to see a recurring theme in both color and finish. I tend to go for very natural, brownish pinks with a glossy finish. Compared to flat matte lipsticks that accentuate dryness and lip lines, glossier lipsticks help minimize the multitude of lip lines that I have naturally.

Too Faced Spice Spice Baby was my old favorite MLBB lipstick and in my mind the glossier finish and richer, more cushion-y texture are still superior but sometimes the lemony scent/flavor gets to me. That’s why Clinique Curviest Caramel just barely edges it out. The finish and texture may not be nearly as divine but it’s still pretty good, the color’s lovely, it has decent wear time, convenient packaging and there’s no funky taste or scent. All in all, it’s a fantastic lipstick.

  1. I was looking for swatches of pinky-nude lipsticks and found my way here. I -love- Clinique chubby sticks but I don’t have Curviest Caramel. You’ve convinced me I need this! I’ve never seen Too Faced lipsticks in person but SSB sounds familiar. Might just have to take a risk and order it.

    Thanks!
