L.A. Colors – Moon Rock

Moon Rock is a trio made up of a dark turquoise, cobalt blue, and charcoal gray shade. All three eye shadows have a shimmery sheen – no chunky glitter – and good color payoff.

In case you’re wondering whether or not the Moon Rock trio is worth getting if you already own the Sand Dune, Shooting Star, or Southern Belle trios since they contain gray and turquoise, too, I’ve taken a few comparison photos.

The charcoal gray in the Moon Rock trio is a deeper shade of gray and has less of a sheen compared to the slightly more silvery charcoal gray in the Sand Dune trio.

The turquoise in the Moon Rock trio is kind of a mix of the turquoise in the Shooting Star/Southern Belle trios and the electric azure blue in the Southern Belle trio. It’s not quite as green as the other turquoises but it doesn’t have as much blue as the Southern Belle blue shade either. In addition, I think its texture is a bit better than the turquoise in the Southern Belle trio and on about the same level as the other two shadows.

You can find this trio, as well as other L.A. Colors trios, at Dollar Tree for $1 each.
