I don’t know why I was suddenly craving chowder but I was, and I had some heavy cream lying around so this is what I made.
I followed a recipe for New England clam chowder but since I’m the only one in my family that LOVES all shellfish I had to make it without clams, so that’s why I’m just calling it “chowder.”
I tried to make up for the absence of clams by cramming the chowder full of carrots, onions, celery, corn, potatoes, bacon, and lots of black pepper. My sister affectionately calls it “bacon soup.” -_-
To go with the chowder, I made some buttermilk biscuits.
